Mrs. Carson has been a PE teacher for 18 years. She found her way to Santa Rosa in 2015. Mrs. Carson has 2 children, Kai who is 11 and Kris, who is 8.
Her passion for sport and fitness began long ago, as a competitive cheerleader. She competed in co-Ed cheerleading throughout high school and college. Her passion for the sport continued into her career and she coached all levels of cheer through division 1 collegiate. Typically she finds herself leading the crowd at her sons' sporting events which includes baseball, football, and basketball.
As a PE teacher, she strives to engage students in their own learning by keeping classes high energy and fun. Her philosophy for PE is that PE is the only class that you WILL use for the rest of your daily life, as a fit life is a healthy life, and a healthy life is a long one. PE is not about everyone being super-star athletes, but for everyone to learn to appreciate sport, recreation and fitness. In her opinion, everyone can find something they like about PE.
Mrs. Carson is the High School Head Cheerleading Coach. As always she has big plans and goals for the Ranger Cheer Squad and high expectations for the Spirit Program. In 2018 our team was the CIF Division 2 Runners up, USA Nationals Regional Champions and the WCC National Challenge 1st place in the small co-ed division and Grand Champions (highest score of all HS divisions). If you are interested in cheerleading at SRA, please email Coach Carson.
